Due to the enthusiastic response to our temporary exhibition Around Art Deco, the van Buuren Museum & Gardens is exceptionally extending its weekend opening hours.

From Saturday 4 May to Sunday 30 June, the museum will be open continuously from 10 AM to 6:30 PM on Sundays.
In addition, the museum will also open on Saturdays and Mondays from 1 PM to 6:30 PM.

In 2025, the Museum & Gardens of Van Buuren celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Museum and the 100th anniversary of the Art Deco movement, which has redefined elegance and innovation since 1925. On this occasion, the public is invited to relive the iconic moments of the Van Buuren couple’s house through a series of events, including exceptional exhibitions related to the interwar period.

Based on the unique archives of the House of van Buuren, this exhibition at Halles-Saint-Géry reveals how Art Deco influenced not only architecture and the decorative arts, but also the art of entertaining and celebrating gastronomy.

On the occasion of the European Day of Historic Gardens, the Museum is organizing the family workshop “In a maze, you get lost; in a labyrinth, you find yourself (again)!”
Lose yourself in the maze of the magnificent van Buuren Garden, then learn how to build a real labyrinth, just like “in the time of the cathedrals.” A timeless tool for reconnection and creativity, found across all continents, it will often help you find your way back.
