A Journey Through Time
Discover the van Buuren Museum & Gardens, a gem of Art Deco architecture built in 1928. Immerse yourself in a meticulously preserved interior, home to an exceptional collection of masterpieces dating from the 15th to the 20th century. The gardens, true treasures of landscape art, transport you through time. A unique experience where history, art, and nature converge.
Our News

Inspired by the museum’s carpets, lighting and design, jewellery designer Suzanne Heritage has created an exclusive collection.
Her creations are now available at the Museum gift shop.

The Heritage Days return on 20 and 21 September 2025 for their 37th edition. This year’s theme, “ART DECO, roaring twenties, years of crash”, is part of the Art Deco Year 2025 and is coordinated by Urban.
On this occasion:
Saturday 20 September: free entry to the house and gardens
Sunday 21 September: free entry to the gardens and access to the house at a single rate of €12 (no discounts available), reservation required
The Heritage Days are a unique opportunity to (re)discover iconic places in Brussels and the Region, many of which are exceptionally open to the public.
Find more information and the full programme on the official Heritage Days website.

In the enchanting gardens of the Van Buuren Museum, every path seems to lead to a little secret. Behind a hedge, at the foot of a tree, or along a winding trail, imagination can awaken and turn the garden into a place of exploration. Come and open your eyes wide, let your ideas wander, and be inspired: observe, dream, and invent stories inspired by the shapes of nature and the colours of spring.
Throughout the week, the activities alternate between the exploration of the museum and its park and the discovering of different artistic techniques (clay modeling, printmaking, monotypes…). Inspired by the myths and legends of the garden, the children will transform the landscape into a true space for artistic experimentation, where they can invent and share their own stories.
