Mission

The Van Buuren Museum and Gardens Foundation is a public utility foundation created by Alice Van Buuren in 1970. Its registered office is at the museum’s address.

Its purpose is to produce an artistic and cultural work. Its activity consists of taking, in the spirit of its founder, all appropriate measures to ensure the conservation of the paintings, furniture and objects located in the founder’s villa, now converted into a museum with its surrounding gardens. The latter are open to the public, as well as the “Song of Solomon” Labyrinth and the Garden of the Heart adjoining it.

Since its creation, the Foundation has invited many artists to exhibit both inside the house and in the gardens.

The Foundation offers an extensive artistic programme and original activities throughout the year: exhibitions, concerts, conferences, treasure hunts for children, artist meet-and-greets, guided tours, etc.
